At the church, Davon was involved in many activities. The Dwight family attended the Compton Community Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Compton, California. In 1993, Davon (age 2) and his brother James Turner (age 3) was raised by Linda Dwight and her daughter, Druscilla along with three adopted brothers.
